How You Can Prevent Children and Youth in Foster Care From Becoming Victims of Human Trafficking!

Did you know that currently only 50% of youth in foster care will graduate high school? (nfyi.org)

This significantly increases their risk of becoming victims of sex trafficking and homelessness.

Here at Made to Thrive, we are flipping the script, to ensure that current and former foster youth obtain their high school diploma.

To date, we have helped 8 children and youth in foster care catch up to their appropriate grade level, and 2 aged out foster youth to graduate high school through our one-on-one virtual homeschool program “Made to Thrive Academy.”

In 2025, Our Initiatives Are Growing!

In 2024, our reach expanded into Raleigh, NC, which allowed us to launch several new initiatives:

Made to Thrive Academy Expansion - Our Raleigh Expansion means that we can reach more students, which will require additional teachers and curriculum.

Foster Care Chronicles Podcast - Our testimony-based project to spread awareness and transparency about the foster care system.

Partnership Efforts to Assist with Placement of Children and Youth in Foster Care - Regular luncheons with stakeholders in the foster care / child welfare system and religious organizations to promote foster care licensing classes and recruit loving foster and adoptive families.
